Oh my Good stuff! I elected to roll a couple (not pictured) in panko and it’s so much better with a little crunch. I baked mine, but you can also grill or smoke them.
1 lb sausage (I used our venison breakfast sausage)
4-5 jalapeno peppers
4 oz cream cheese
3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- In a bowl, mix the cream cheese and shredded cheese.
- Cut off the top of each jalapeno pepper and remove the seeds. Stuff the peppers with the cream cheese mixture. Press the sausage around the stuffed jalapenos and roll in panko.
- Arrange the coated jalapenos on a baking sheet in a single layer. Bake 25 minutes in the preheated oven, until the sausage is evenly brown.
