Both of us were dubious about grilling pizza but it turned out fine. We thought it’d fall through the grates, but it didn’t even stick.
Heat up your grill to medium heat and make sure the grates are fairly clean.
Make your pizza dough using this recipe:
- 1 cup warm water
- 2¼ tsp active yeast (or 1 package)
- 1 tsp sugar
- 2½ cups all purpose flour
- 2 Tbs olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- ¼ tsp garlic powder
- ¼ tsp oregano
- Dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water in a medium mixing bowl and allow to bloom, letting stand 10 minutes.
- Add flour, olive oil and salt and beat until smooth. Let rest for five minutes.
Oil both sides of the dough and roll out into 1/4 inch thickness. Put on preheated grill and grill 5 minutes. Flip and add toppings. Cook until cheese melts and dough is browned.
