Mid-June Weekend Update
I went to the flea market yesterday morning but didn’t have a whole lot of luck. I got an opal for $15 and some purple leather scraps for $15.
It was more of a day for food. I went to the farmer’s market and got a big bag of arugula for $4 and some local honey for $16 (white and wildflower varieties). I got strawberries at Smith’s for $0.88 a pound and later made a strawberry rhubarb pie with rhubarb from the garden. I got pork ribs at Albertson’s buy one get 2 free as well asTilapia and Cod at buy one get 3 free. Smith’s had milk 2 gallons for $4 so I got an extra gallon to make ice cream or butter or cheese.
This weekend in the garden, I replanted my pie pumpkins.
And I got a sunburn while the hubby and I reassembled the arbor we got married under last year. It was totally worth it. I looks beautiful.
I’m planting purple hyacinth vines on both sides that will grow up over the top and cover it with purple flowers. The cage is to keep the rabbits from mowing down my vines.
We also harvested our first batch of radishes!
