Colored Garden Totems

I finally got enough pieces together for my green and blue garden totems. I love how they add color to the yard without adding more plants to water (we live in a drought prone area, so conservation is preferable). For this project you’ll need 8-10 glass pieces that mate together somewhat well, a caulking gun and some adhesive. I found that DAP Alex Plus Acrylic Latex Caulking Plus Silicone in Clear works really well to hold and seal out water. You don’t want water getting inside and creating a freeze/thaw cycle. I tried E-6000 for my first one and it didn’t hold well in the outdoor elements. I assembled these two pieces at a time and then buried the bases in dirt to stabilize them.

??????????????????????????????? ???????????????????????????????

I’m hoping to do a purple one, but when I priced the pieces I wanted, it would cost over $70 to put together. So, thrift store hunting it is.
