Spring Cleaning

Yesterday we spent the day cleaning our bedroom top to bottom. We didn’t start out with that mission, in fact, this all started with folding the laundry. There was also a bit of complaining about my incessant tendency to get bug bites, so I decided to switch over to our summer bedding. Once you fold the clothes, you notice that the closet is a mess. You pull everything out and notice you don’t wear any of this crap anymore. You decide that you’ll make a donation pile. A trash pile develops. You rotate your winter wardrobe out for summer. You put all the summer bedding on the bed. You notice that the windows are dingy. You wash the windows and notice that they are cobwebby. You go on a spider massacre with the vacuum. You notice some fuzzies on the carpet, so you vacuum the carpets. When vacuuming you notice you need to use the attachment and get into each and every space. You put the vacuum/beacon of death away and realize that you’ve only cleaned one half of the windows. The outsides are still dirty. You wash all the outside windows and come in to finish off the rest of the windows in the house. You take all the trash out and realize that it’s dark and you didn’t get around to the one thing you wanted to get done today; finishing the roof. Maybe tomorrow…

If You Give a Moose a Muffin is an excellent representation of my life.
