Grinding away

We made elk burger and sausage last night. We ground up 37 lbs of meat and 7 lbs of fat. We ended up with about 30lbs of elk burger and 15lbs of elk sausage. We used the elk we got this year and a pig our neighbor raised. I made some elk burger helper and cooked up a few sausage patties. Everything was really good, tender and tasty. None of it tastes like game meat either. It was kind of a pain in the butt to make, but it’ll save us money and be better for us.
