Oh the joys of the internet

I haven’t had internet the past few days at home and it’s driving me nuts. It’s difficult to work without it, ugh. Anyhow, I’m working on a bunch of new articles. I just finished one about cooking with hemp (not marijuana hemp) that came out really well. I’m headed to a convention in Seattle in 2 weeks and am generally being kept pretty busy writing.

Outside of my writing and work, I started coaching a girls’ soccer team. So far it’s been great. It’s fun and the girls are all great, if not a little shy still. Along with the coaching, I have been playing soccer on a women’s indoor league. It’s been good, but I’ve re-injured my left knee and am fighting it getting worse. I’m also having trouble with my energy levels. Since I started playing soccer again, I’ve been getting these spells of dizziness, headaches and fatigue. There doesn’t seem to be any particular pattern to them. I usually get a bad one right after I play and some other times during other weekday evenings. I am thinking it may be anemia again, but I’ve also had people suggest dehydration. I’ve been taking care to drink water before my games and gaterade during, but it doesn’t seem to have an effect. I also started taking a women’s multivitamin that doesn’t seem to make any difference. What has been helping a little is my daily spoonfulls of hemp hearts. I learned about them while writing my cooking article and started taking a spoonfull every day. It seems to be helping more than anything else. The one spoonful is supposed to provide 33% of my daily intake of protein, so it may be helping with the anemia. I know that I basically just need to go to the doctor and get some blood tests to see what’s up, but you know how I am with needles…
