Office Chairs

While walking through Best Buy a few days ago, I noticed that the office chairs seem to be named with the office hierarchy in mind. The specific chair that caught my eye was a nice leather one with a tag on it saying ‘Manager’s Chair’. It struck me as another of the silly things that makes working in an office so miserable. Until you reach the management level, crappy chairs for you! It’s like staplers and pens. People get nasty over the best pens. I’ve even gotten miffed about someone stealing my pen. On one occasion, I even marched into the boss’s office at plucked my pen right out of her hand. I don’t think I will ever be able to deal with working somewhere I hate or doing something I hate. When something as minor as a missing pen is enough to mess up my whole day, I need a new job. Thankfully, I am self employed and can blame no one but myself if I am unhappy.
