Ma’am

I don’t know when or how it happened, but I have apparently graduated to being called ma’am. I didn’t notice the insidious advance of the old lady term as it was only used by military people, but it has now spread to service people in restruants, people who happen to hold a door for me and others. It’s actually starting to piss me off when people call me ma’am. I’m not old enough or staunchy looking enough to deserve that. Please reserve ma’am for women over 65
