I’m 26, I live near Taos, NM with my boyfriend (The Dude) and 2 cats, Hootie and Lucy-Furr. Boyfriend is much too mild a word for The Dude, but it’s what the English language has provided. He is partner, soul mate, best friend, care taker, lover and more. I will always refer to him and people in my life with nicknames to protect their privacy. I work from home as a writer for tattoo and gift shop magazines. I’m also director of circulation for several magazines. I do extreme sweepstakes and lots of crafts and cooking and am always looking for ways to save a buck.  This collective tome of my mental secretions is called “The World According to Me” because my parents always used the term when I was young whenever I said anything that they thought was cute or funny. It is also a nod to the fact that this is the world according to me and you can take what you read here however you like. Take what you need and leave the rest. I will not tolerate or respond to troll behavior, harassment or nasty comments. I encourage you to comment and give your opinion, but do so in a respectful manner. This blog is a bit of a variety show. I try to put up at least one recipe and one project a week. I throw in local lore, travel, current events, reviews, my personal life and more in too. Basically, my goal is for you to smile, laugh or learn something new every day.
